Go to ssa.gov/myaccountand create a “my Social Security” account if you don’t already have one.

Why this matters:This is where you’ll enroll in Medicare Parts A and B if you’re not automatically enrolled. It also shows your earnings record — worth checking for accuracy before benefits begin.
